Sinocraft Oy was merged into Palin Granit on July 1, 2011. All enquiries regarding stone from former Sinocraft quarries are now welcomed directly to Palin Granit.
Palin Granit has acquired the entire share capital of Sinocraft Oy. With this corporate acquisition, Palin Granit secured its position as the leading supplier of quarried stone in Finland. Sinocraft’s annual turnover in recent years has been about 3 million euro.
“The two quarries purchased from Sinocraft are located in Luumäki and Virolahti. These quarries are at the start of their life cycle and the opportunities for their development are excellent in terms of both quantity and quality,” states Heikki Palin, Managing Director.
The Karelia Red stone quarried in Virolahti enables Palin Granit to respond to the growing demand for red stone presented by the market in the Far East. Sinocraft’s Baltic Brown production is primarily dark brown ED granite, which is in heavy demand for kitchen countertops in the USA.
